Cosmos Youth Association took part in the Erasmus+ training course “Life is Better This Way”, held from 15–23 August 2025 in Tryavna, Bulgaria. Funded by the Bulgarian National Agency and coordinated by The Change is in You Association, the project aimed to strengthen healthy lifestyle habits and enhance the knowledge and skills of youth workers in this field.

Throughout the program, participants explored how daily habits—often carried out unconsciously—impact our bodies. Workshops, group activities, and practical sessions focused on topics such as obesity, posture and spine health, oxygen intake and metabolism, and principles of balanced nutrition. Participants also gained concrete tools such as reading food labels, planning daily menus, and understanding healthy meal structures, alongside trying different exercise methods tailored to their bodies.

A key component of the training was the psychological dimension of obesity. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, youth workers discussed emotional triggers behind eating behaviors, stress factors, and body image in a supportive learning environment. The entire program was delivered using non-formal education methods including role-plays, simulations, outdoor sessions, and peer learning, combining theory with hands-on practice.

The historical and natural atmosphere of Tryavna provided a motivating backdrop for a project focused on well-being and healthy living. Cultural evenings, city explorations, and nature walks allowed participants from different countries to connect, exchange practices, and build long-lasting international networks.

As Cosmos Youth Association, we aim to bring the knowledge and experiences gained from this training into our local activities. In the upcoming period, we plan to organise youth workshops, educational content, and movement-focused events in İzmir, strengthening our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyle choices and body awareness among young people.
